Horse racing fans will know that the National Hunt season is already under way and on the 28th of November AERO ALLIANCE flew one of our regular clients to the Hennessy Gold Cup meeting at Newbury racecourse for a great day out.
Newbury has its own golf course located within the racecourse and on racing days one of the fairways becomes a temporary runway for race-goers who want to avoid long queues of traffic and who want to arrive in style. This 800 metres long landing strip is one of the best drained grass runways in the UK allowing for a smooth and safe landing even in the trickiest of weather conditions.
The flight from Shoreham to Newbury takes only 30 minutes and with minimal check-in at each end of the journey, our client was able to land just before the first race without an unreasonably early start. A major benefit of chartering with AERO ALLIANCE is that the aircraft remains at the customer's disposal throughout the day. We are flexible with return journey times and can respond quickly to last minute changes in plan. On this occassion, we left just before the end of the last race and, having had a near-full day's racing, our client was home in time for dinner! We have already been booked for the client's next event.

As well as Newbury, AERO ALLIANCE regularly fly directly to Newmarket and Doncaster racecourses. Other courses, such as Goodwood, have airfields nearby and the French horse racing centre of Deauville is less that an hour's flight away from Shoreham. We would welcome the opportunity to advise on flights. Please contact us with your travel requirements.
