Winter Operations

This winter saw significant snow falls and low temperatures along the South Coast of the UK. Many of the major airports such as Gatwick and Southampton were forced to closed during this period. However, Shoreham Airport faired somewhat better than it's nearby competitors due to its own microclimate being situated close to the sea and the South Downs.

Chieftain Preparation for Flight

Preparing the Chieftain for flight.

It may not be common knowledge but at altitude pilots experience ice and freezing temperatures on a day to day basis (even in the summer). Thus, we can operate safely in what might seem abnormal and extreme conditions.

Over the Winter period AERO ALLIANCE remained on call with their aircraft regularly de-iced and ready to fly. Other modes of transport however, could simply not handle the cold weather conditions. Whilst Eurotunnel's trains were breaking down in the tunnel leaving their passengers stranded, we were ready to fly you from Shoreham to Paris in 50 minutes !!!

AERO ALLIANCE flights also only require 5 minutes check-in time and with free parking arranged, why not take the delays, hastle and stress out of your travel by flying direct with us.
