Today, freezing fog meant that we had to queue beheind several Ryanair and Aer Lingus planes prior to departure from Dublin International.

Fog at Dublin
We normally operate out of small light aircraft strips to and avoid getting involved in long delays due to unnecessary security checks and customs control, but due to fog we had no choice but to land at Dublin.
Even though the aircraft we fly are no more than 10 seats, the Aero Alliance aircraft under our control are equiped to handle the most challenging of weather conditions including in this instance freezing fog. This gives Aero Alliance the capability to operate to the legal minima in terms of poor weather conditions and every chance of you reaching and returning from your destination.
On taxi to the runway at one point we were 9th in the queue, but we could only see three aircraft ahead !!! In these conditions low visibility operations (LVOs) kick in and in this instance CATIII operations were in force.
Unfortunately, those LVOs meant that it took us 40 minutes to get airborne..... Normally when the customers arrive, we are airborne within 10 minutes, but 40 minutes taxi is typical when you have to use these major airports (and not just for reasons of bad weather). This is one major reason why our customers also avoid travelling with the major carriers and choose to fly with Aero Alliance instead.

Lining up for the return trip.
