KORTRIJK - one of Belgium's best kept secrets.

One of the pleasures of being a charter pilot is that every so often you find spectacular places you have never heard of before. Today I took two clients to Kortrijk which is a small medieval town just inside Belgium close to the French border. After landing and seeing the clients to their taxi, I made my way to the Damier Hotel which overlooks the central Grott Markt square. A short tour of the town uncovered a metropolis of bars, cafe bistros and restaurants spread evenly around some beautiful architecture. This town has all the ingredients for a great weekend away.

Kortrijk - Grott Markt

There are numerous activities to do as well, in particular you can hire a bicycle for just under £10 a day and cycle from the centre of the town out along the river and into the countryside along a well designed flat route, great for a family with children equally sobering for the stag or hen party.

If you ever do end up with time on your hands after sampling the famous Belgium beer and cuisine, you can catch a train from Kortrijk station to Brugges, Brussells or Lille Flanders.

If you are looking for something just a little bit different and select, then Kortrijk has exactly that and more - you will certainly not be disappointed by chosing this for a weekend destination.

Unlike those low cost carriers, AERO ALLIANCE can fly you to select towns towns like KORTRIJK, REIMS, HONFLEUR and LILLE FLANDRES direct from Brighton with no more than 1 hour flight time and you will only have 5 minutes maximum checkin time..... and don't forget we provide you with FREE airport parking.
