Fear of Flying Course

Aero Alliance director and SkyLeisure Aviation Chief Flying Instructor, Martyn Blunden recently launched their Fear of Flying course at Shoreham Airport. It is not uncommon for people to have anxieties and concerns when it comes to flying. Although Aviation is the safest form of transport, Air Accidents always hit the headlines. This has a negative affect on those who already have a fear of flying.

Education through understanding is one of the best ways to allay these fears. Sympathetic instructors explain some of the human psychology behind the perceived rational fear that people have. Explanation is also given in how an aircraft actually flies, what keeps it in the air and the lengths that the aviation industry go to, to maintain a high safety standard. Finally, the concerned passenger is shown the cockpit of a light aircraft and given the instruction and opportunity in the air to control the aircraft for themselves.

With a sensitive and relaxed approach it is hoped we can help potential air passengers overcome some of their apprehension towards flying and, in future, enjoy the experience. Please contact us for more details about fear of flying courses.
