AERO ALLIANCE still flying whilst volcanic ash grounds jets.

Over the past few days, AERO ALLIANCE has been repatriating stranded passengers from all over Europe whilst the airlines remain grounded and all major airports have come to a standstill. Our operations are unaffected by the air-traffic restrictions recently applied to jet airliners whilst the cloud of volcanic ash hovers over western Europe. Our aircraft operate at lower altitudes than jet airliners, below the worst of the dust clouds and their piston engines have air filters similar to those in cars, making them much less susceptible to the effects of dust ingestion. This has allowed us to continue flying and to repatriate passengers who have been left stranded by the airlines and are desperately seeking to get home.

Gatwick Today

An eerily-quiet London-Gatwick airport

The unusually clear skies around major airports such as Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Stanstead, Birmingham and Manchester have allowed us the added bonus of access to normally restricted air traffic zones meaning that we are able to fly more direct routings and deliver our passengers more quickly to their destinations.

With the Icelandic volcano erupting for what will probably be at least a 6 month period and an Azores High settling nicely in mid-Atlantic, it looks like the volcanic ash will disrupt airline operations for a considerable period of time to come. Our air charter service may be the only reliable means of flying on business or for pleasure during that time.

Don’t forget that we can operate from smaller airfields nearer to your journey’s start and end points and a five-minute check-in is the norm rather than the exception, so please call us on 01273 783710 (+44 1273 783710 from outside the UK) for a quote. Flights to and from the south-east of England (London, Surrey, Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex) are our speciality, with northern France (including Paris), Brussels and Birmingham approximately 1 hour’s flying time away and Glasgow, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Bonn-Cologne and Frankfurt approximately 2 hours flying time away. We also operate flights to Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Greece.
