With the Volcanic ash cloud closing UK airspace to jet engine traffic. The London Marathon organisers contacted AERO ALLIANCE to ensure that one of the top women's marathon runners, Mara Yamauchi who was 2nd in the London Marathon last year, made it to London in good time to prepare for the prestigious event.

AERO ALLIANCE rose to the challange and drafted in one of their spare planes from Blackbushe to ensure that Mara and her husband made it back to the UK in comfort and style.
The London Marathon organisers made the comment that considering the significant cost of hiring a private jet to bring other runners from the continent, hiring the AERO ALLIANCE plane was very good value for money !!!
