A feature of our service that always impresses customers is the short amount of time between arriving at an airport and being airborne.

In recent years, airline passengers using large international hubs and some regional airports have become accustomed to arriving there two hours before a flight is due to leave. It is important, of course, that security checks are done thoroughly and not hurried, but large queues at check-in desks and at departure lounges seem to have become a standard feature of the modern airport experience. (Naturally this is no problem to the Brits, every one of whom would be a potential medallist in Olympic Endurance Queueing, if such an event existed!)

Our minimalist approach might disappoint those whose ideal holiday starts with being trapped in an airside shopping mall and it won't curry favour with the airports who, for obvious reasons, like to see people trapped in their airside shopping malls but, at Shoreham for instance, we think ten minutes between parking your car and boarding is not too much to expect. Don't blink - you might miss the lovely art-deco interior of the terminal building.

Convenience aside, the major benefit of this is a reduced door-to-door journey time. For instance, on a trip from the south east of England to Scotland, travellers via Shoreham would be fastening their seatbelts for landing in Glasgow or Edinburgh within two hours of arriving at the airport. Those preferring the main London airports of Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton and Stanstead would probably still be boarding. On shorter flights, such as Shoreham to Liverpool, Manchester or Birmingham the benefit is even more marked and for cross-channel flights to northern Fance (Paris, Le Touquet, Deauville, Caen, Cherbourg etc.) you could expect to be on the ground within one hour of arriving at Shoreham. Flights to the Channel Islands of Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney also measure one hour from (car) handbrake on to (aircraft) park-brake on!
