During the busy football season, managers and their backroom staff do not always have the time to travel around the country to watch their teams play, especially when their time is extremely valuable and could be spent on other tasks. For Tottenham Hotspur this problem was becoming all too common, and an effective solution was required.

Fortunately, AERO ALLIANCE were able to get the management who are based in the Bournemouth area, from their local airfield to Manchester, where the game was being played. The would be 6 hour each way journey by car was transformed to a 60 minute commute, avoiding early starts, rest breaks and hotel costs. The swift 5 minute check in time through Bournemouth Handling, a private handling facility away from the hustle and bustle of the main terminal, allowed for a VIP transfer. This presented the benefits of free parking (50 metres from the aircraft),very discrete service, and lack of traffic. The 60 minute flight to Manchester was commented on being "smoother than a commercial jet" with the aircraft interior on a par with everyday biz jets. The passengers especially liked the fact they could see the cockpit and talk to the pilots who kept them informed on every matter, something not offered by the airliners. The club class seating with quiet cabin environment allowed the passengers to conduct a pre-match meeting, in the relaxed and secure environment the Piper Chieftain offered.

On landing at Manchester, the passengers were transferred to their cars via a private shuttle bus, taking 10 minutes all told, this being compared to the 25 minute airline check out at the same airport. The pilots remained on standby at Manchester in case the passengers required an unscheduled early return. As it turned out the passengers were delayed by 2 hours at the football stadium, due to more media coverage than expected. The passengers kept the pilots informed with half hourly text updates of their progress, and in turn the pilots ensured the necessary flight plans, slot allocations and destination handling slots were adjusted as required. Whilst on standby the pilots were informed of cancelled flights from Manchester airport due to Volcanic ash in the vicinity. This was something that did not affect our engines which had an effective filtration system which had passed several safety audits which were CAA approved. At 20:00 the passengers arrived at the aircraft, and only 75 minutes later they were touching down in Bournemouth. The swift trip home, ensured the passengers a comfortable ride home, without getting too tired from the motorway experience. If you have a team that you need to get somewhere with minimal time delays, then call AERO ALLIANCE for a free quotation, if you return the same day then you pay NO MORE than the one way price.
