To celebrate the anniversary of Mike "the red fox" Sinclair, regarded as one of the most prolific escapers of World War 2, Aero Alliance has been tasked to take a group of sightseers to see the ex prisoner of war camp Colditz Castle.

Aero Alliance fly direct from Shoreham airport and arrive at Leipzig-Altenburg, where transport takes the sightseeing group direct to Colditz, which is 20 minutes away. The tour around the castle lasts for about one hour and is absolutely fascinating.

The group will get to see the various tunnels and escape routes which snake and meander through the walls and floors of the Castle. They will also see the prisoner of war museum which includes escape plan material and the history of other famous prisoners such as Douglas Bader and Airey Neeve. The Colditz glider is no longer at the castle, but the sightseeing group will walk the battlements and see its roof launchpad and the intended landing spot in the field in the valley below.

Once complete, Aero Alliance will fly the group straight back to Shoreham allowing the group to undertake the colditz experience in one day.
The day trip is only made possible by the 5 minute check-in time and quick departure of Aero Alliance aircraft.
