We recently carried a party of golfers, to Le Golf National, the greatest course in France and recent home of the French Open. The team arrived at Shoreham airport and were escorted straight to their aircraft, avoiding the delays of large airport traffic, getting lost in car parks and long check in times. The aircraft departed on time, taking just 1 hour to arrive at the destination, Paris, Toussus Le Noble. From here the private car was awaiting, in line with the VIP service which we pride ourselves upon. The 10 minute drive to the golf course meant that the players could check in the the on-site hotel, which cost only 79 euros per night, and then play a quick round before sunset. The two courses on offer accommodate for every skill of golfer, meaning that even us as pilots are allowed to swing the odd club. The course costs around 50 euros for a day pass, which is excellent value for a national golf course. After a relaxing game the golfers retired to the golfing bar, where a mixture of cultures meet at the end of the day to exchange their experiences and frustrations. The hotel offered children facilities (for those not playing golf) along with an outdoor swimming pool which offers something for those who fancy something a little different.

The following day the players fitted in a morning and afternoon round of golf before and early dinner at the bar. This was followed by the 10 minute drive to the airport where the pilot was waiting, ready for and immediate launch. The 1 hour flight back to Shoreham Airport went smoothly and was very picturesque, offering views of the French countryside and English coastlines. The group who were local then managed to get home in good time, ready and refreshed for work the next day.
