Aero Alliance were excited to help out the local community when the leader of a Cub Scout group approached us to put on a Brighton City Airport tour finalé by giving a guided tour around our resident Piper PA31 Chieftain.

First, the group had a visit in the tower, so the Cub Scouts were able to see and hear the tower at work, guiding aircraft into the circuit and on the movement and maneuvering aera of the aerodrome.

Then they proceeded to visit the fire crew where a show was put on. Fire engines with blue strobes flashing and sirens blaring, then a water display emptying their water tanks, all for show. It was very impressive, an applause was welcomed by the crew.

The Cubs then moved on our multi engine charter aircraft where Mike took each of the 20 in to the aircraft, enabling them to sit up front, getting a feel for the controls and absorb the atmosphere that our charter pilots and passengers experience every day. While Mike was kept busy explaining basic flight his colleague (and photographer), Sara did a fantastic job of giving a talk to the Cubs and Leaders with some basic aircraft and flight information, also answering any queries anyone had after their experience.

This Monday evening supported by Shoreham Airport and Aero Alliance enabled the Cub Scouts to each gain their Air Experience Badge. Well done and Congratulations to all of the team!
