As most pilots are becoming more aware, the days of the JAA are coming to an end, making way for the new European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
For pilots with a curent JAA rating the conversation will be automatic with no stress inducing hoops to jump through! However, the situation is less clear for pilots still using their "licence for life" UK PPL. The proposed conversion from UK PPL to EASA will involve a skill test along with some other legislation to delve into.
However for UK PPL holders who convert their licence to JAA now, they can avoid the stress and enjoy many more years of flying under the new regime.
Having spoken with Flight Crew Licensing at Gatwick this week, Aero Alliance have learnt that all UK PPLs are being advised to convert their licence NOW to avoid the rush and avoid dissappointment.
This has led Aero Alliance to Issue a Training Advisory Notice to alert all UK PPL pilots to make the change now.
If you have a lapsed Class or Group Rating, then all you have to do is pass a SEP class rating, which our in-house examiner is able to help with 7 days a week. You can use your own aircraft or use an Aero Alliance training aircraft at only £99 per hour.
We are currently converting some pilots who have a UK PPL which was last utilised 30 years ago, so as proven, it's never to late to get current again....
Call Aero Alliance now to see how we can help to protect your licence!
